The H5360 has 1 x HDMI inputs. HDMI stands for High-Definition Multimedia Interface and is a standard used for audio / visual equipment. Like the older scart, HDMI is a port that allows you to connect things like Blu-ray players and games consoles to your television. Unlike scart, they're very easy to plug in - and take up a fraction of the space scart leads do. HDMI allows for HD devices to send high resolution information to the television. HDMI is an uncompressed digital signal, as opposed to previous analog interfaces such as S-Video, component video and composite video. In short, HDMI is the best way to connect your AV equipment and is going to be with us a good way into the future. There's a really good blog post over at Hi-Def hardware if you'd like to find out more.
Brightness is an important specification to consider when picking your projector. How much brightness you can see depends on two factors - how much light can be produced by your projector, and how reflective the screen you're projecting onto is. The most common measurement of brightness in home theatre systems is Lumens, which can also be written as ANSI lumens. The Acer H5360 has a brightness of 2500 lumens. For more help on Lumens, and how much brightness you need, check out Projector Central's guide here.
Lamp life refers to the lifespan you can expect from the lamp in your home projector. This number is expressed in hours and refers to the length of use before the lamp will have dimmed by 50%. The [product name] has a lamp life of 3000hrs. There's an in-depth look at lamp life at this website if you'd like to find out more. There's a great deal of information to do with projectors and lamps over at Projector Central.
