This is the operating system used on the Dell Streak 7. Like Windows, Android is the user interface software that allows you to access all your games, programs, apps, the Internet and every other feature on your tablet. It's maintained by Google. Android has a simple, fast and easy-to-use interface that allows for quick launching of the apps and tools that you want to use.
One of the main improvements with Andriod 2.2 is it's speed and performance. The new version uses the Dalvic Compiler that makes for up to a 2.5 times faster performance. This is especially noticeable in gaming performance where a high frames per second is needed.
There's a great video on Youtube that highlights the features of Andriod 2.2
There's some good info on Andriod over at the official website: What is Andriod? We also highly recommend you read through What is Android? A beginner's guide over at TechRadar, which covers everything you'll need to know if you're new to Andriod.
Bluetooth is a way for gadgets like tablet computers to connect to other equipment over a short distance. Bluetooth creates a private, highly secure short range network that allows for cable free and easy connection. It's possible to connect more than one device through Bluetooth at a time. An example benefit would be if your mobile phone and your laptop support bluetooth, you could send pictures from your phone to your laptop without the need for a usb cable. Less cables are always a good thing in our book. The Dell Streak 7 supports bluetooth.
